Thoughts: The Unifying Force is a good continuation of the New Jedi Order Series and the fight with the Yuuzhan Vong. This series is for the Star Wars aficionado. Jonathan Davis is does a good job with the narration and the recording does a good job of adding sound effects not making them sound out of place or obtrusive.

Summary: (Taken from wookipedia)
Prior to the Battle of Yuuzhan'tar that occurs in the novel, a series of events and other battles lead up to Supreme Overlord Shimrra's ultimate downfall, such as the Battle of Selvaris, the Battle of Caluula and the Battle of Dac. And as for the characters who hide on the living planet of Zonama Sekot since the events of the previous novel, which is still in transit in hyperspace, they recover Harrar, who was thought dead in his fight with the treacherous Nom Anor. They also realize that Zonama Sekot is actually the seed of the Yuuzhan Vong home planet, the original Yuuzhan'tar. When the Yuuzhan Vong's violent ways came to notice of their home planet, they were stripped of their Force sensitivity so they would never be detected or be able to contact the Force ever again.

With each victory against the Corellian rebels, Jacen Solo becomes more admired, more powerful, and more certain of achieving galactic peace. But that peace may come with a price. Despite strained relationships caused by opposing sympathies in the war, Han and Leia Solo and Luke and Mara Skywalker remain united by one frightening suspicion: someone insidious is manipulating this war, and if he or she isn't stopped, all efforts at reconciliation may be for naught. And as sinister visions lead Luke to believe that the source of the evil is none other than Lumiya, Dark Lady of the Sith, the greatest peril revolves around Jacen himself.

Thoughts: The combination of a not so special story and a ho hum narratation made this a tough listen. The toughest part was getting started on this book. The first 45 minutes of this was very lackluster and challenged my resolve to listen to this book all the way through. I would not recommend listening to this book if it will be your first audiobook or your first star wars audiobook.

SUMMARY: (Taken from Wookipedia)
Just before the events of Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and her Padawan Barriss Offee go to the planet Ansion to make sure the world joins the Republic rather than the growing powers of the Separatists. After an attack on the two female Jedi by a group of mercenaries, they are instantly saved by Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker and the four Jedi begin a journey to meet with Ansion's government for them to settle with the Republic. However, the foursome's attempts become a bit more complicated with the machinations of Ansion's residing Hutt, Soergg, who instead wants Ansion to join the Separatists. Nevertheless, the four Jedi make it through all impossible odds with the help of two clanless Ansionians that originally worked for Soergg and had their minds restored to a more fixed way thanks to Barriss's healing talents from the Force. After getting through much of Ansion's wildlife, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Luminara and Barriss make two Ansion clans make a peace treaty that ended their war, thus gaining more support for the Republic. Getting through more of Soergg the Hutt's machinations, the four Jedi eventually coerce Ansion to join the Republic on its voting day, and they successfully have Ansion side with the Republic. The prologue features Shu Mai, and the epilogue features a cameo by Shu Mai and Count Dooku.
